President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Federal Government has promised to compensate the indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, with the sum of N825.819 billion naira as compensation for the construction of 4.2km second runway at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The announcement was made by the Minister of FCT, Nyesome Wike on Tuesday 29, August, 2023 while on Channel Television.
The announcement was made known to the general public after a meeting between the Minister of FCT Nyesome Wike and it counterpart Festus Keyamo the Minister of Aviation as well as representatives and stakeholders from the affected community, Jiwa, in Abuja.
Wike also assured the people that Federal Government would construct a 5km bridge in Tunga Madaki Community and also build modern health facilities.
