The Governorship Candidate of the Action Peoples Party, APP in Rivers State, DR LEESI GBOROGBOSI says creation of three new cities in the three senatorial districts of state will take development to the grass root.
According to a statement issued to the press, Dr LEESI GBOROGBOSI said the urbanization policy will increase economic activities in the rural areas, reduce poverty as well as overcome challenges of insecurities in the state.
The APP Governorship Candidate, Dr Leesi Gborogbosi also said with the urbanization policy, the new cities will be economic centres, noting that economic hubs will be created in each senatorial area.
THE APP governorship candidate Dr LEESI GBOROGBOSI further explained that the presence of three more cities in the three senatorial districts of the state, will give room for collaboration and competition for growth among the three senatorial districts, which he said will accelerate rural development.
The APP Governorship Candidate in Rivers State DR LEESI GBOROGBOSI also emphasized the need for proper management of the activities of the new cities including Port Harcourt city to create more jobs and attract investments into the state.
