About the roleWe’re looking for a Community Manager to help build and grow HeyGen’s online communities across forums, Discord, Reddit, and beyond.You’ll play a key role in shaping how people connect with HeyGen and with each other. This means creating experiences that bring people in, give them a reason to stay, and make it easy for them to participate.You’re someone who enjoys both sides of the work. You come up with ideas that spark engagement, and you follow through to make sure they actually happen.What you’ll doBuild a thriving communityGrow and manage HeyGen’s Discord with a focus on daily engagement and positive interactionsShow up on Reddit in a way that feels natural, helpful, and relevantBuild relationships with creators, contributors, and early advocatesHelp members feel seen, heard, and excited to participateCreate engaging programsLaunch campaigns like challenges, prompts, and showcases that encourage participationDevelop recurring moments such as weekly threads, events, or creator spotlightsTurn product updates into opportunities for the community to explore and shareCreate simple, effective formats that make it easy for people to join inKeep things running smoothlyManage day-to-day community activity across platformsPlan and maintain a clear content and engagement rhythmSupport a safe, inclusive, and constructive environmentAmplify your communityHighlight great work from users and share their storiesEncourage members to create and share contentHelp identify and grow community advocatesClose the feedback loopListen closely to what the community is sayingSpot trends, insights, and opportunitiesShare learnings with product and marketing teamsContinuously improve how we engageWhat we’re looking for3+ year experience managing Discord and/or Reddit communitiesA strong sense of what makes people engage and participateStrong track record of end-to-end community projectsComfortable being active in online communities and internet cultureClear, thoughtful communication skillsAble to balance creativity with executionProactive and self-directedNice to haveExperience with AI, creator tools, or video platformsFamiliarity with HeyGen or similar productsBasic design skills (Canva, Figma, etc.)Experience running community campaigns or eventsExperience with Developer communitiesWhat success looks likeA Discord community that feels active, welcoming, and engagingA Reddit presence that adds value and builds trustOnline spaces where both new creators and power users can find valueCampaigns that people want to participate in and shareOnline communities that drive business outcomes for a variety of internal teams and stakeholdersPathways for members to become leadersLocationOpportunity to work in-office, hybrid or remote while employed as a contractor.Compensation: We are looking to pay a competitive monthly rate on a long-term contract.
