Operation Help Orashi Smile
Some communities in Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba, Rivers, and other states have been devastated by the flooding that has destroyed many homes and lives in Nigeria.
Some affected communities and regions such as Orashi among others are about 70 kilometers far from Portharcourt, Rivers state. There is a large population of people living in Orashi region. Every year, the flood comes there and takes away their assets along with the life of many people and their animals. But this year’s flood has been too devastating. It affected many areas and damaged everything badly.
Most areas are caught in this natural scourge. Many buildings and houses were being affected and made various people homeless. They’re so worried because they are suffering from a very difficult time. This huge flood didn’t give people time to move to other safe places. The children are afraid and crying frequently. The animals were also drowned and washed away. The heavy and strong water is carrying away people’s assets.
A large number of crops had been ruined because of deep water. Everything was underwater and destroyed severely. There’s no electricity supply. In this critical time, it’s too difficult to survive where people don’t even have shelter to live in.
Orashi region needs HELP just as every other affected areas and regions.
The Gborogbosi Support Movement (GSM) and Gborogbosi Foundation will be in the Orashi region next week to distribute food items.
Rivers state APP Governorship Candidate, and also The Executive Chairman, Gborogbosi Foundation is seeking support with any food item or other materials you can provide. In his words, “The items will be bought when we get there to reduce logistics costs.
