Former governor of Bayelsa State, Nestor Binabo is dead.
According to reports, he died on Thursday 29 June in Abuja after a prolonged illness, however, the name of the illness wasn’t disclosed.
Momos Binabo, the son of the late governor announced the dead of his father on his WhatsApp status with the caption ” I thought you’ll pull through Dad. But God knows the best.”
According to a family source, the ex governor died about 4:00am on Thursday.
The late Nestor Binabo became the governor of Bayelsa State between January and February 2012 after the removal of Timipre Sylva by the Supreme Court.
He served as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly under the peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
However, before his death, Nestor Binabo was a committed member of the All Progressives Congress,APC.
